Gel/Acrylic Nails
Hand
Photo prior to starting sculpt
process
The first
step is to prepare the nails
by removing the cuticles
which by nature grow down
your nail bed. This
is done by pushing them back
or using a special tool. Once
that is done, the nail bed
is lightly roughed up, cleaned
with nail prep.
Filed
and Prepped
Here the
nail has been prepped, and
the edges have been filed
to start a semi shape. This
is done prior to application
of primer (protein)
Protein
Primer
Protein
primer is applied to the
nail bed. This helps
the gel or acrylic to adhere
to your nail surface and
must be applied prior to
application of gel or acrylic.
After
Protein Primer
Protein
Primer gives the nail a slight
shine and is tacky to the
touch
Apply
Form
apply form
to each finger by putting
form under the free edge
of each nail. Here
is where you start your sculpting. Using
a form allows you to extend
the nail and build it naturally.
Starting
the sculpt process
Here I am
starting a sculpt process.
This nail will be french
pink and white when complete. There
are two different ways you
can do FP&W and that is by
sculpting the white first,
or you can do that at another
step.
Finished
Free Edge applying pink
This is
a photo shot of a finished
free edge extension. and
here is where the pink gel
is applied as the base of
your nail. After the pink
is dried under a light then
clear gel is applied to the
entire nail and again dried
under a uv light

return in 3 weeks for a fill,

quickly her nails grow.
